Greetings traveler.
We welcome you to Delirium, where things are not what they seem and magic is just the beginning of your adventure.
This is a fairly new site, being only about 2 and a half months old. Our setting takes place about 400 years into the past - x391 being the current year - and dragons freely roam Earthland. While humans and dragons are currently in peace with each other, there is darkness brewing and that fragile line of truce between them might just break soon enough.
Episode One: Bastion, The Ironclad Dragon is now open!
Enjoy your stay, and please...
Stay delirious.

The Lost Men [Quorra Mission Private]

Post by Vixen on Sun Feb 17, 2013 7:54 pm

Falcon city was much different from the forest in which her guild was located, it was so full of life, hustling and bustling away like clockwork not stopping for a moment as if everyone had somewhere to go. It was...unnerving and she felt off as if she didn't belong here at all, it wasn't nervousness no, she didn't experience things like that as she had been in the city multiple times usually for her various sexual romps but never for business like this.

If she could miss something she would be missing Blackwood forest right about now, with its shambling undead and peace and quiet suiting her own demeanor like a glove while this place seemed to be three sizes to large. It wasn't constricting it was more that it seemed to loose for her rigidity, she supposed that Angelique would be at home in a place like this, minus her intense murderous tendencies. However Quorra couldn't be bothered with giving up her body at the moment as now wasn't the time. She was on another mission for that odd striped hat fellow however this time it wasn't about finding his cat.

This time the bloke had managed to lose his crew, well they weren't his but a crew they were nonetheless and he had managed to lose them even though it was obvious that he hadn't really bothered to look for them seeing as they were supposed to be headed to Falcon city. The reason she knew that was because he had stated specifically in the mission to look for them in the Falcon City station meaning that they would of reached their destination so they weren't lost.

Perhaps it had been something of just a lack of communication that resulted in this mission request, though Quorra wasn't the type to complain she simply did what was required of her, and the pay out from the mission wasn't exactly bad either. Now all she had to do for the moment was located this airship station. It was...odd to say the least and she really didn't understand where she was too look so she began to follow the flying airships which lurked above, in the city skyline.

After watching for a moment she would pinpoint which were leaving and which were heading to Falcon city and she would briskly begin to walk towards the entry location smoothly avoiding bumping into people while she focused on the air fairing machines which seemingly floated above. She would eventually reach her target in question and would stop seeing that it was getting dark. In retrospect she hadn't quite thought of a time period when she set out to do the mission and even though she had left Tartaros late at night in the morning it had taken her pretty much a day and a half to even reach this place.

If she had known it would be this stressful she wouldn't of bothered but alas here she was in Falcon City, looking for an air ship crew. How the mighty have fallen. she thought to herself her face blank although regret would be the appropriate emotion to match her thoughts after all here she was a former noble and still a noble by blood picking scraps in the form of ludicrous mission that made her travel all around Fiore. Though the blame wasn't her own it was Angelique's as if she had just been content with being dead and not wanting Quorra's body this would never of happened.

Quorra would look up scanning around for a sign and upon stumbling on one she would walk up to it reading quickly in order to find out where she needed to go. Soon enough she found the docks and with a helpful map of the the area on the back of the sign knew exactly how to get to it. She would walk briskly even though her legs were somewhat tired her scythe clinging to her back as she had made sure to tighten the holster before she set off.

Eventually she would get to the docks most of them being occupied however where the crew was supposed to be was in the more shady areas which were for the most part desolate. She would continue to walk her eyes focused as she zoned out the hungry stares some of the men hanging around the area threw at her, now wasn't the time to satisfy that anyways. She would continue walking until she reached her target destination however she heard a crash and instinctively crouched down pulling her scythe out of its harness and clutching it as she would silently walk to a window and peer inside.

She saw the crew bound there were at least five hoodlums rummaging around the inventory of the ship apparently interested in robbing whatever the air ship crew had brought with them. Annoying...it would seem she would have to fight, perhaps kill she didn't mind though she hadn't exactly wanted to have to dirty her hands so quickly. Regardless she would begin to plan looking around for something she could use as a distraction in order to distract them long enough for her to make her move.

Re: The Lost Men [Quorra Mission Private]

She would wait for about thirty minutes before the opportunity she was waiting for presented itself one of them had to apparently pee and since the bathroom was locked had opted out to taking a leak outside of the building where the air ship was currently located. Quorra would creep on the outside as she tracked where he would exit from all she really had to do was wait and she would be able to begin her purge.

Sure enough he would emerge from the door on the back right of the building with him looking around and holding the door open with a rock as he looked around for a corner to dispense his bodily fluids into. He would never get the chance however as a small gust would be felt approaching his neck and seconds later his head would hit the floor with a small fountain of blood jetting out of his headless corpse. She would flick her scythe dispensing the blood that was on it with her body already moved in such a way that none of the blood would end up on her kimono.

After all those stains never quite came out, that is unless she hired the services of a cleaning magic user, but that was just money she didn't have to waste. She would look at the body with almost a sad facial expression as she wasn't able to well..do anything with it before she would walk into the building through the entrance picking up the rock with her free hand. It wasn't too heavy and she knew if she put some effort into it she could throw it a fair distance.

Right now the remaining thugs were busy looking through she ship so she crept up to the closest one and would slam down with the rock with all her strength a dull thump later, the unfortunate individual hitting the floor absolutely still as a small pool of blood would begin to spread around him. She would look around seeing that the crew members were looking at her with frightened eyes she would stare at them before making a ssh sign with the hand holding the bloody rock.

She would continue to walk forward and one of the thugs would emerge from the ship apparently he had come to check on the one that went to take a leak but never returned he would open his mouth to shout however would be silenced by the rock impacting his skull with a crunch breaking most of his fragile nose and sending him to the ground writhing in pain. In five long strides Quorra had closed the distance between them with the glint of metal flashing downward his throat being severed with blood gushing out.

She made a mental check list knowing that their were two more however she didn't see the point of going into the airship so she would walk over to the tied crew mates and with a couple of short swings would cut the ropes binding their body. Each of them would back away pressing themselves against the walls knowing that things were about to get even more messy than before. A fact assured when the other two thugs came out and saw their comrades dead.

She never understood why people got so emotional over death, it wasn't as if it wasn't a natural process, murder was simply one accelerating something that was going to happen anyways. So they should be glad that she saved whoever who was going to be burdened with the hardships of life with the quick and everlasting bliss of death. Well what they should of done was at least not try and pay her back with more death as it would simply accelerate their own end as well.

The first would lunge at her a pointless gesture seeing as with her scythe in tow she easily out distanced him, she would swing downward her scythe blade meeting flesh and slicing a large chunk into his mid section. The other thug would see an opportunity and rush at her only for Quorra to pull her scythe back dragging the injured one with it and then using both hands to fling him off of the blades edge throwing him into the other. Hmm okay. Quorra said as she would begin to spin her scythe as she walked over to the pair the uninjured one pushing other off of her body as the latter quickly bled out.

Quorra would pick up the pace as the last thug attempted to run quickly moving her scythe and slicing the tendons at the back of the woman's knees causing her to bodily fall to the ground with a thump. Quorra would look down at the woman with no emotion her dull lifeless eyes zoning out everything that was coming out of the pleading woman. She didn't care, and possibly never would care, and with a calmness uncommon to most she would slice her victims neck open looking down at her Kimono as the creamy white was now stained by spots of red.

All done. Quorra would say as she turned to the now terrified air ship crew as she flicked her scythe depositing the blood which marred it. She would turn and proceed to walk away showing that she didn't mean anymore harm other than to those who were stopping the striped hat man's shipment. After all her mission had been to find them and resolve anything if they ran into problems.

Kisuke is waiting for his shipment. Please try to hurry up after you clean up this mess. she said upon reaching the main exit waiting for one of them to unlock it before she left the building and would begin to walk towards where Kisuke had said he would be at. The mission was almost over at least as once he informed him of what had happened and what not he would be possibly overjoyed...yet again.

Re: The Lost Men [Quorra Mission Private]

Post by Vixen on Sun Feb 17, 2013 10:03 pm

Il semble peu importe comment dur j'essaye, je ne peux jamais sortir de ce que je suis vraiment. Quorra said lowly as she gazed at the crescent moon above, it had been a while since she spoke in her native tongue, it she could miss something that would be one of the top things on the list. The calm tranquil nature of the sky was occasionally broken by the sight of an airship adorned with lights so bright that from a distance one could mistaken one for a star.

As she kept talking the scenery would change from the desolate star filled sky with quiet streets and lecherous stares, to tall buildings numerous voices and noises as she reached the more occupied area of Falcon city. That feeling of being off returned yet again however outwardly she had no change just a calm collected teenager in a cream colored kimono with fresh blood stains. It was actually rather odd that no one noticed her, perhaps they were all so consumed with their own lives that she didn't even register.

That was good, she liked not being seen or noticed it kept her under the radar, she would continue going through back alleyways until she would reach the spot where Kisuke had said he would be first spotting the black cat of his with Quorra having bothered to remember it's name or gender. It would meow at her and she would stare at it before looking at it's owner whose eyes would widen upon seeing her. They were being stolen from so I killed all of the thugs, everything is fine now you will receive your shipment shortly. she said politely although her voice lacked any of the niceness associated with being polite.

He would begin to thank her again and inform her of her reward this time mentioning something about being able to have his air ship pass apparently she could ride an airship for free for one trip now. It sure beat walking home but..she would have to make due with her legs for now, she'd save the ticket for later after all she would rather not waste it and there were no airships going into Blackwood forest.

She would turn away from him as he finished and would slowly begin to make her way back to the guild, sure her body was tired but she could always sneak aboard a train if she needed to she wasn't exactly all that concerned with not breaking rules and what not. Come to think of it she didn't really know where the train station for this place was, as she usually traveled by air-ship when she used to visit here seeing as she used to come to the city a lot when she was a noble. It was actually amazing how times and situations could change within a year or two.

Then again she didn't regret anything she did, after all she wasn't able to experience that emotion as well, in actuality even if she was able to experience it she didn't regret it. She had regrets about few things in her life, perhaps the main one being Angelique if she could do everything differently she would of rather died, perhaps then she wouldn't have to deal with the mess that her life currently was. Though she wasn't suicidal, she was just practical her life was still her life and that was the only reason she didn't end it not that she ever would purposefully as even with her magic she still preferred not to waste her life-force needlessly.
